This is a watercolor from a picture I took in Florence. It was a beautiful day in the city. It's impossible to turn in any direction and not see something worthy of a painting. This one sold before it was off the easel.

The desire to create realistic images of the human form has always driven my development as an artist. Through many years of studying technique, life drawing and anatomy I have developed a stylistic approach that produces pieces with a strong realism and a deep emotional content. A second major focus of my work has been a series in a variety of mediums (etchings, drawings and paintings) depicting ancient religious sites from around the world.
